So yea, I just ran 3Dmark06 and was quite horribly shocked to see the results  See for yourself why.

And I thought my setup was half decent at the very least!!!!!

Yeah but don't worry that thing is very flawed, it isn't a reliable way of finding out your computer speed. Your computer might be faster than the "common system"

I've never used 3D marks, due to that fact, Subjunk.

i reckon 3dmark etc make some attempt to make whatever you have seem somehow disappointing. case in point the 'common' system... bah, what a fkin joke! WAY overestimates what i would suspect IS the common rig although it might refer to common 3d mark benchmarking losers which i wouldnt worry about. having said that 1660 is a pretty low score... what graphics card do you use? my 2600pro crossfire rig scored between 4400 and 4800... not bad cards on their own, didnt bench them separately though they should have scored over 2000 single. the new ati 4850 is th best budget card for ages in my opinion. at a glance i would say your rig is better than 'average' and I would be quite happy with it... although i wouldnt rate the 'average' very highly yours is certainly respectable.
its easy for me to say though because i have a hot rig that i want to be my girlfriend, i'm in love with her

Yeah that is another problem with it. Most people who test their 3dmark scores are overclockers and have pretty sweet hardware, so it is a very skewed "common system". Add to that the unreliability of the test and it's just silly. I have an uber computer and only got 12k score, which is stupid.

I'm running the EN8400GS Silent from Asus. A damn good one really. Not the best, but still damn good.

hehe, my last girlfriend was constantly jealous, accusing me of cheating etc, lol!
i would have thought 8400 would score a little better but as SubJunk said the test itself is unreliable (i would have opted for 8600 but... meh). As long as your rig does what you want how you want i would Seriously forget about it... literally. otherwise you'll just start throwing cash at it for the sake of it rather than for tangible reasons. Been there, painful

Yea. Well I aint got the cash to throw at it anyways so no problems there, hehehe.
Oh, I just installed another 512mb of RAM (DDR400) and that put my score up a humongous 9 points. LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! Stupid program. Oh, I had the RAM already BTW, was just having problems getting my PC to recognise it (I think one of my RAM slots is fucked).
