    Quick thing, it doesn't actually look that much better. The floor looks.... shitty even. I'd rather they actually GAVE US HD rather than making this shite showing it off, while not letting us play it at all.

    I'd bet you a weeks paycheck that this was made entirely in 3DS Max and imported as a model. Which (unless they have made some serious improvements to the engine) means they will either have collision problems like in 4.1 with complex models, or they'll have to more or less recreate the entire thing (but more simplistic obviously) for the collisions. On a brighter note, I do like the lighting. Nice and crisp.

    Luc every map in all games are rendered in Tris, each surface in the game is broken into triangles, each triangle is called a tris you can see this ingame when cheats are on. /devmap any map then go r_showtris 1 and you can see.
    A normal UrT map has somewhere between 5k-20k tris. I manages to push Oaks to 23-25k at some points, so 500k tris must be pushing it >_> unless they've done something drastic. I know that L4D2 is able to be pushed to 250-400k tris so UrT running on 500k tris seems a bit "wow" tbh
