    ok, i am the last person to get on an eco band wagon, they appear to be pseudo-religious twits for the most, but this seems to work pretty well and be a mildly intelligent effort if you ignore the ridiculous eco propoganda. i have only just started using it so if you check it out and it has issues let us know.

    that would involve actually spending money on preserving the environment... not something anyone Really wants to do. that Copenhagen stuff is still all about money, don't be fooled by the old, ooh the poor environment stuff. Important point about that jazz is prob that Obama got the US-EPA to label greenhouse as harmful to Human Health which enables him to actually do something rather than just talk.
    oh and if it doesn't find porn the trees will die. :tongue:

    I'm just a bit hesitant about charities and charitable organisations now. I had been fundraising for UNICEF for a few weeks, signed up a lot of people but also came across some interesting things about UNICEF. The most disconcerting point is their lack of transparency, past scandals and corruption. The thing is, each unicef that operates in countries are independent of each other (from what i gather), so it's hard to generalise about it as a whole. Their lack of financial transparency could also be for certain reasons -- one of which may involve the need to bribe officials in certain countries in order to operate in there. Either way though, yea not meant to dampen your spirits on ecosia, but i just wonder how much exactly goes to WWF. If its like 2% then that would be rather misleading.

    yeah, a lot of charities are either corrupt or run by people like Murdoch for very healthy profits. this one doesn't seem overly evil and the efficiency of their revenue/spending doesn't concern me too much because of the way they are genereating funds, valid question though, but i only use it at work tbh
